2. Data we process and why

2.1 Visiting the website

When you visit our website, technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, browser, operating system, pages visited) is processed to provide and secure the website. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website).

2.2 Orders and customer account

To process your order we process your name, address, email, phone number, order and payment details. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the contract) and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal retention obligations under tax and commercial law).

2.3 Customer service

If you contact us, we process your details to handle your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

2.4 Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send you information about products and offers. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

2.5 Product reviews

If you leave a review, your name (usually abbreviated), rating, text and any photos are published. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

3. Cookies and tracking

We use technically necessary cookies to operate the shop (e.g. the shopping cart). Analytics and marketing cookies are only set after you give your consent via our cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

4. Service providers we use

  • Shopify (Shopify International Ltd., Ireland): hosting and operation of the online shop.
  • Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland): card payments, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg): payment via PayPal.
  • Klarna (Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sweden): payment via Klarna. Klarna may carry out an identity and credit check.
  • DHL, Slovenská pošta, FHB: delivery of your order. We pass on your name, address and, where needed for delivery notifications, your email or phone number.
  • Klaviyo (Klaviyo, Inc., USA): sending newsletters and order-related emails.
  • Loox (Loox Ltd., Israel): collecting and displaying product reviews.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Ireland): measuring and optimising our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, only with your consent.
  • Google (Google Ireland Ltd., Ireland): Google Ads and analytics, only with your consent.
  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., Ireland): analysing how our website is used in order to improve it, only with your consent.

Some of these providers may process data in countries outside the EU/EEA, in particular the USA or Israel. In such cases the transfer is based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission (e.g. the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the adequacy decision for Israel) or on the EU standard contractual clauses.

5. Retention

We store your data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose. Order and invoice data is kept for the periods required by tax and commercial law (up to 10 years). Newsletter data is deleted when you unsubscribe.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). To exercise your rights, contact support@anaaka.com.

7. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your residence. The authority responsible for us is the Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky (Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic), Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava.
